Half-fold or quarter-fold?
A half-fold card is bigger and sturdier but needs printing on both sides (or feeding the sheet through twice). A quarter-fold card prints on one side of a single sheet and is folded twice, so it's the easiest to make at home — the inside panel is printed upside down on the sheet so it reads correctly once folded.

How do I print a half-fold card on both sides?
The PDF has two pages: the outside (back and front) and the inside. Print double-sided with flip on short edge. Without a duplex printer, print page 1, put the sheet back in the tray so the blank side prints, and print page 2.
What is a quarter-fold card?
A single sheet printed on one side and folded twice — in half and in half again. It needs no double-sided printing; the top half of the page is printed upside down so everything faces the right way after folding.
What size will the card be?
A half-fold card from A4 is A5 (148 × 210 mm); from Letter it is 5½ × 8½ in. A quarter-fold card is A6 (105 × 148 mm) or 4¼ × 5½ in, and flat cards are A5 or 5½ × 8½ in, two per sheet.
What envelope fits?
A6 cards fit a C6 envelope and A5 cards a C5. A 4¼ × 5½ in card fits an A2 envelope and 5½ × 8½ in fits an A9. You can make a matching one with the envelope template generator.
Can I use my own photo?
